A Summer Sweater

I finished this awhile ago, but never got around to weaving in the ends. Hopefully I'll still be able to wear it a couple of times before it gets too cold.

Pattern: Bellevue Cardigan by Laura Chau
Yarn: Cascade Yarns Venezia Worsted in Strawberry Cream
Needle: size 8 circular
Date Started: July 2, 2010
Date Finished: August 1, 2010
Comments: I adored this project. The pattern is fun but not too difficult and the yarn is a dream. The perfect combination, I think. I thought about adding waist shaping, but I think it looks fine without it. This pattern also comes as a fingering weight version. Maybe next summer, with a button or something?

Knitting Plans

Now that I am trying to knit more, I thought it was time to re-evaluate my knitting goals. This is what I would like to do by the end of the year (Ravelry links):
Then, if I have time (somehow I doubt it)
  • Matching socks (Christmas gift for grandparents)
  • Goodale (would look perfect with my new boots)

I'm Knitting Again!

I realized that not knitting is making me very unhappy, as well as not helping my stress levels, so I started knitting again yesterday. Look what I made:

No, I do not have any news to share with you. My stepmother's brother and sister-in-law are having a baby girl in November, and I want to knit them a couple of things. Are babies really that small? I do not see how any foot will ever fit in that.

What has been going on in my life? School, research, TA, travel, more school, studying for my comprehensive exams in January, sleep occasionally, and yes, more school. I knew this semester was going to be bad, but it is really kicking my butt. I'm really looking forward to January 10th when things will finally calm down a bit.

By the way, the photo shoot deteriorated quickly. Weasley really likes yarn:
