Soaking

There is a certain shawl soaking in my bathroom sink. I can't wait to get this one blocked. Just in time for the 70-80 degree weather we're expecting this weekend. Now I'm off to brush my teeth in the kitchen sink because I didn't think of doing that before soaking the shawl.

3-Month Sleeve

I cannot remember if I mentioned this at the time, but in December (during finals) I started the second sleeve of my second Liesl sweater. I am sure all of you experienced knitters see where this story is going. Stress + distracted knitting = frogging. I knit the sleeve inside out. I was so disgusted with myself that I put it in time out for a month or two. I pulled it out again during my finishing kick, but I got bored with the pattern and put it away again. Two Liesls in such a short time was not a good idea. However, NCAA basketball is good for something- I finally finished that sleeve. Maybe I'll even be able to wear it once before it gets too warm for a wool sweater. I have one more body repeat, the garter edging, and the buttons to go. My fingers are crossed I can do it in less than three months this time. Maybe I better start looking for buttons now...

Today's Dilemma

It's really hard to do all these things at the same time:
  • Study for a midterm
  • Enjoy the beautiful weather
  • Watch basketball
  • Follow health care
  • Clean the apartment
  • Ignore a numb hand
  • Read an engrossing John Grisham novel
  • Accept that spring break ends tomorrow
Just sayin'.

Still Around

I apologize, a bunch of things have been going on lately that have kept my away from blogging. I haven't been knitting too much lately, just working on Liesl and my shawl. I've been reading a lot, but authors I've read before or letters I already have. I'll be back soon when I have something more interesting to share.
